Apple TV set confirmed by Foxconn boss? Really?

BGR

BGR:

Foxconn Technology Group founder and chief executive Terry Gou has reportedly gone on record in stating that his company will soon begin manufacturing a television for Apple. Production has not yet begun, China Dailyreports, and the electronics manufacturing giant is currently preparing its facilities for Apple’s HDTV.

Two things. First: Nothing is confirmed until Apple calls for an event and Cook or Schiller say so on stage. Second: if this guy indeed published classified information about an unannounced product, I wouldn’t be surprised if his position suddenly becomes available.

  1. [...] Like I said, there is no way an executive from another company confirms any Apple product (and lives to tell about it). And also, stop calling it the iTV for the love of God, if Apple makes the dam thing it will have another name (unless it is actually called the iTV and then I’ll join the crowd at the Apple is Doomed! camp).
