The Verge has a complete review of the new Chrome OS on a Samsung laptop (Chrome Book). So the big innovation Google brings is that it now looks like a mixture of Ubuntu and Windows 7, but you still need a constant internet connection to really do stuff on it. At $449 for a laptop like this, I could get a Windows or Ubuntu netbook, use Chrome as the browser and do more, while still being able to use it offline. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t get it.
