In 2012 there were more Android devices sold than Windows devices. By the end of 2013, it is probable that there will be more iOS devices sold than Windows devices too. If so, by the end of this year, Windows will be only third in terms of OS sales.

Microsoft today said it will issue 12 security updates next week, including two for Internet Explorer (IE), that will patch a near-record 57 vulnerabilities in the browser, Windows, Office and the enterprise-critical Exchange Server email software.
Maybe you should temper your storage expectations a bit, as the base model actually only allots 23GB of that space for use. The larger 128GB version offers a bit more space at 83GB, but is still losing a massive 45GB of space to the full Windows 8 operating system and various included applications.

Microsoft on Saturday confirmed that Internet Explorer (IE) 6, 7 and 8 contain an unpatched bug — or “zero-day” vulnerability — that is being used by attackers to hijack victims’ Windows computers.
Don’t use IE unless your job depends on it, it’s not worth it.

HTC won’t be making a large-screened Windows Phone anytime soon. The reason for this? The platform’s limitations. This, in fact, has always been the reason why certain shiny new hardware advancements haven’t made it to the WP camp, or if they have (see HD displays and dual-core processors), they’ve been pretty late compared to the Android competition.
If Microsoft wants to compete with Android as a viable alternative to manufacturers using Android, it better get working on this. There is a market for behemoth smartphones, and even if it is a small market, they need anything they can get.
