Google updates Chrome for iOS with full screen option
Nice iOS 7 concept.
Samsung Decides to Build Its Own Stores Inside Best Buy
The company is partnering with Best Buy and will open 1,400 Samsung Experience shops within the retailer’s existing stores.
Why doesn’t Samesung make copiers? They would kill in that market, they are the best at it. Xerox doesn’t stand a chance with these guys.
The secret of Steve Jobs
The secret of Steve was that he was never satisfied. He devoted his life to asking, “Why doesn’t it work?” and, “What should I change to make it work?”
Nice piece.
iOS 7: It’s Time to Clean House
A wholescale redesign of the iOS interface, however, won’t be easy for consumers, so I’m not expecting to see Apple toss out all of the current interface design elements and start from scratch. Instead, I think we’re on a new evolutionary road for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch where we’ll see some significant changes in iOS 7 that lead to even more refinements with future updates, and start with a first step that may feel more like a small leap.
Changes to iOS look, feel, and some of the functions, is needed. But I don’t expect a huge departure from what we have now, at least on this next version. Apple is now on the same position as Microsoft is, the user base is so big, that it has to be careful what and how they change things.
Can’t wait to see what Ive has been cooking.
iPad, three years later
I was there three years ago, Saturday April 3rd, 2010, in a line at a local Best Buy with my brother. The damn thing is all banged up, with a little crack on the screen, still working. Surviving what my son does to it.
Chinese Government praises Apple for Apology
With its rare apology, Apple Inc went from pariah to praiseworthy in the eyes of China’s state-controlled media, a lesson for other foreign firms not to underestimate the speed and power of the government press.
Last week, the Chinese Government chastised Apple for their warranty policies. Tim Cook sent a public apology for the misunderstanding, announcing changes to said policies. Today the Chinese praise Apple, and say that other companies should follow the example. People talk, stuff gets resolved. Go figure.
2 Letters from Steve
