I blog the way I do, and that’s it.

On an invitation by a fellow blogger, I began writing stuff on a webpage a little over a year ago. I had no experience, no idea how to do it, all I had was the desire and the place to do it. So I did. Something funny happened, I liked it. So I began writing about apps, and tricks, and tips, and pretty much anything I could think of. I then decided to start my own blog, where I could talk about tech, just not always about Apple.

Motorola won’t update DROID 3, DROID X2 to Android 4

BGR:

Motorola recently updated its Android release timeline and revealed that certain devices will remain on Android 2.3 rather than receiving an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The handsets in question are both modern and more than capable of running the latest Android operating system, however the vendor claims the latest software won’t “improve” the devices, and that’s why updates will not be released. Both the DROID 3 and DROID X2 will remain on Android 2.3, despite the fact that both handsets run dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processors and were released not even a year ago.

Droid does…not get updates.

Code signing coming to Firefox Mac builds

Mozilla:

We don’t know exactly when 10.8 will be released to the public but some have speculated that it could be as early as the week of June 11th at WWDC 2012. We must have a signed and released Firefox out there before the general public starts upgrading and we’ve been working hard to make that happen as soon as possible. This post will give a short history of Mac signing at Mozilla and talk about our timeline for enabling it.

Gatekeeper by default, allows the user to install any app from the Mac App Store or from any developer that has authenticated themselves with Apple and obtained a certificate. This will be a great security feature to help avoid installing malware on your system. Nice move by mozilla.
